Summer blood donation deal: a pint for a pint | Health and Fitness

Ben & Jerry?s Ice Cream shops in the Charlotte area will host ?Give a Pint, Get a Pint? blood drives on Thursday, July 14, with free ice cream for all donors. Also, Community Blood Center of the Carolinas plans a series of blood drives in the Lake Norman area this month, some offering free movie tickets or smoothie coupons.?

Ben & Jerry?s blood drive with the American Red Cross will run 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Davidson shop, 202 S. Main St. Simultaneous blood collections are planned at Ben & Jerry?s stores or Red Cross locations at the Arboretum, Charlotte Blood Donation Center on Park Road, Hilton University Place, Huntersville Blood Donation Center in Huntersville Business Park and Bank of America?s Founders Hall, all in Charlotte.

All presenting donors will be treated to ice cream and receive a coupon for a free pint, a free Red Cross T-shirt and a cance to win a $3,000 gift card.
