Sprint today in New York City announced the long-rumored Motorola Photon. The 4.3-inch Android smartphone runs Gingerbread, sports an 8MP camera on the back, VGA camera on the front, mobile hotspot and Wimax. Under the hood, it's got a dual-core Tegra 2 processor.
It's Motorola's first 4G phone, beating out the delayed Droid Bionic on Verizon.
It's got 16GB of on-board storage, and you can add up to a 32GB microSD card for up to 48GB of storage. On top of that, it's a world phone, so you'll be able to use it on 3G GSM networks outside the United States. The Photon also sports a 1700mAh battery.
Full press release is after the break.
