USC sends 16 competitors to NCAA track and field championships

USC has 16 athletes in Eugene, Ore., for the NCAA track and field championships that will be held Wednesday through Saturday at Hayward Field.

Olympian Bryshon Nellum, who will compete in the 200- and 400-meter races, Olympian Aaron Brown (100 and 200), Reggie Wyatt (400 hurdles), Aleec Harris (110 hurdles) and Remington Conaster (hammer) will represent the Trojans men's team.

The women: Akawkaw Ndipagbor (200 and 800 relay), Lauren Blackburn (100 hurdles), Melia Cox (100 hurdles, triple jump and 400 relay), Alitta Boyd (triple jump and long jump), Alexandra Collatz (discus), Jenny Ozorai (hammer), Loudia Laarman (400 relay), Vanessa Jones (400 relay and 1,600 relay), Ashley Liverpool (1,600 relay), Jenna Puterbaugh (400 relay and 1,600 relay) and Jessica Davis (400 relay alternate and 1,600 relay alternate).

USC last won a men's team title in 1976. The Trojans finished tied for 11th last year.

USC's won its only women's title in 2001. The Trojans finished tied for 24th in 2012.

The meet will be broadcast at times by ESPN3 or ESPNU and streamed live here.
